    Hi Daniel,

    many thanks for choosing SphereTester!

It looks like that you have successfully managed to activate your licence since your above post but can you just please confirm that it is working fine.

Also if you could share here what the solution was, that could help others in the future.

    Many Thanks,
    Jan

this has been resolved, the slow speed was caused by a badly coded custom indicator

    Hi Angel Javier

    Thank you for choosing SphereTester!

This error is displayed when dll imports in metatrader are not enabled. You can enable it under Tools / Options on the experts tab.

Please let me know if this helps.

    Hi Shabir,

    thank you for choosing SphereTester!

What timeframe and testing model are you using? Is it also moving slowly when you switch to the M1 timeframe?

    Hi Ronald,

is the speed in the Strategy Tester set to the maximum speed (32)?

The speed control feature works best when the Strategy Tester speed is set to 32. The maximum speed you can achieve with SphereTester is the same as the speed of a standard chart with the speed set to 32.

    I hope this helps.

    Hi Hector,

thanks for the suggestion. I can only implement this if MetaQuotes adds a functionality to MT4 that can handle this. I will notify you and update this post if that happens.

    Thanks,
    Jan

    Hi John,

this only happen if there is an invalid character in the value you enter in that field, eg. you use q comma instead of a dot. Can you please confirm that this is happening when you use a dot as the decimal separator. If so, can you please turn on the Debug Mode in the Expert Properties and check the Journal tab for any error messages.
Please let me know if this helps.
    Thanks,
    Jan

Hi John, I understand your concern but I cannot accept this as a bug for two reasons: 1. You can open an order without SL/TP levels and then when you are ready to assign a SL/TP to the order you can set the SL/TP in pips in the main panel and use the “+” button next to the SL/TP for the order. This will set the SL/TP level for the order instantly and you can change back the SL/TP in the main panel to 0 to open the next order without SL/TP levels. 2. It is best practice to always open an order with a Stoploss set and even though SphereTester is just a simulator it helps traders to get used to these practices. If in a live environment you open an order without a stoploss and the market goes in the separate direction and (hopefully this never happens) you lose connection to your broker or to the internet your account can be wiped out in minutes. I hope you agree with the above Thanks, Jan

    Hi John,

many thanks for reporting the issue and for the detailed description. A permanent fix has been released in version 1.0.16 to address the problem if a line for adjusting the stoploss or takeprofit is deleted.

If a SL or TP line is accidentally deleted click on the “Accept” button, this will remove any previously set SL or TP for the order. If you then want to reinstate the stop loss or take profit level simply click on the “+” symbol for the relevant order and it will be applied again.

Thanks again for reporting the above and please do not hesitate to report any new issues discovered (hopefully there won’t be too many).

    Regards,
    Jan

    Hi Colin,

can you please check if DLL imports are enabled in your terminal. You can do this by clicking on Tools/Options and on the Expert Advisors tab make sure that the “Allow DLL imports” option is enabled (see screenshot below). Click OK and restart your terminal for the change to take effect, this should solve your problem.

metatrader 4 allow dll imports setting

If this doesn’t help please check the output in the Journal tab of the Strategy Tester window and copy and paste any error messages here.

    Regards,
    Jan
