Hello, I just bought SphereTester few hours ago and I think it’s really good!

I only have one request, explaining what happens:

    -Open a M5 chart
-Then open an offline H1 and D1 chart (using SphereTester MTF)

As you can see, the previous candles shown at the beginning of backtest in M5 are 1000, but those 1000 M5 candles becomes 83 on H1 and 3 on D1, so they are too little for making a long-term analysis, especially D1.

Here are images for a better explanation:

    M5
    H1
    D1

Hope this is a good idea,
    Thanks

    Hi Federico,

great suggestion, thank you for getting in touch.

The offline charts are generated from the original timeframe and so the earliest they can start is at the time of the first candle on the original timeframe.

I don’t think I can come up with a satisfactory solution for this anytime soon but will keep it in the back of my head and if I can do something will let you know.

    Regards,

    Hi
    I Need help!

When I use the MTF I can select a different timeframe but the graphics doesn’t have the historical information that I need to make a test.

For example If I’m working in M5 for the January 2012 to January 2013 (EUR/USD) and wants to see the EUR/USD_ST,H1 graphic I will be able to select this graphic but the information in H1 won’t be enough to start a simulation, the info will on it will be from January 1, 2012 till January 10,2012, instead of having the info till the 2013

I have downloaded the database in the history center but this issue is showed only in the graphics with the ST sufix for example EUR/USD_ST,H1. I don’t have all the info needed for this.

What Can I Do ??? Please your help I really need to start a simulation!

    Dear Israel,

It looks like data downloaded for testing is incomplete. Can you please check if its proper? Also, how you downloaded the history data?

I suggest you to check this link for more information – http://www.spheretester.com/user-guide/#Historical_data

    Thanks,
    Aayush

    Hi Aayush.

I have downloaded the history in two ways, first one directly from the history center, I have tried to start a simulation from the dates of the history data that I already have but at the time I want to change the timeframe it doesn’t work the new timeframe.

The second way I imported the file that I downloaded from http://www.fxdd.com/us/en/forex-resources/forex-trading-tools/metatrader-1-minute-data/ and it’s the same story…

What I see it’s that when I want to change the timeframe and need to select the new graphic this one doesn’t have the enough history that I need ( Just the grapichs who had the _ST) for example : EURUSD_STH1

How can I download the history data for this type of graphics? ( the ones with termination _ST)

    Hey,

I think its best to download data from MetaQuotes. Please try that.
Meanwhile I will check with the technical team if I can find anything substantial.
We will sort this out. I checked at my end, and its working BTW.

Can you also check errors on on the Journal tab while testing and share screenshot?

    Thanks,
    Aayush
