    I cannot use the News feature. It simply shows the window with the current hour with a message telling there are not news in the database. What can I do in order to make it work?

    Hello, I would like to report that I’m having exactly the same problem.
    I recently reinstalled metatrader 4, could that be a part of the problem?

    Dear Eloi, good news, I managed to fix this!
    I did it by deleting the file “newsdata.dat” which is located into the “history” folder of the tester.

    To find it go to File > Open data folder. Then go to tester > files and there is “newsdata.dat”. I recommend you to move it to another location first for prevent troubles. But once this file is not on the “files” folder restart MT4 and do a new backest, you will see that News are working!

    This worked for me, I expect you can fix this problem on your PC.

    I tried that. It didn’t work. It just made the box disappear with only the blue tile in its place.

    HI,
    I get “No news found in database for this period, nothing to display.”
    I guess you forgot to add new news in your database. From where you are coping them? For older period, like 2016 02, news is there, but for newer date like 2016 04 it disappears 🙂

    Federico’s suggestions does not worked here.
    Please update this issue.
